Canine Influenza vaccine (h3 n8) is now available. The vaccine does not prevent infection with the virus. The vaccine decreases the severity of the cough and lung lesions. Some local boarding facilities are recommending its use before booking a stay with them. The vaccine is currently under provisional approval with safety studies completed and efficacy studies pending.
